If I knew how to escape and unlock my iPhone 3G then anyone can. I had
been doing research and apparently some others had been able to do, so
I decided to open my 3G and give it a try!
[[The following addresses jailbreak the phone using purplera1n]]
1. Get on a PC with Windows (XP seems to have fewer problems than
Vista)
2. Make sure iTunes is updated. Tun off auto updates.
3. Go to http://www.purplera1n.com/
4. Download and run purplera1n (I should say "waiting for phone")
5. Connect iPhone 3G to the computer.
6. Be patient - puplera1n takes a couple of minutes (it should say
"entering recovery" and then "do, hope to restart")
7. Phone reboots - you see the image of purplera1n
8. Make sure the wi-fi is connected
9. Run the application to install Cydia Freeze
10. Download Cydia
11. Reboot

12. Disable 3G on the network (Settings, General, Network) to T-Mobile
can run smoothly
13. Go to Cydia: Sources Manage, edit and write repo666.ultrasn0w.com
(o is a zero Sn0w)
14. Go to Cydia: Changes, and install ultrasn0w
15. Reboot
16. Use a clip to remove the sim card, substitute its own
17. Voila! You are now on the network of your choice! :)
